Seamless Hello Michael As you requested, following is your System-Level Verification News Update featuring SeamlessR Co-Verification and Platform ExpressTM, platform-based design. _____ IN THIS AUGUST ISSUE: Seamless PSP Certification Program Launch New Application Note Processor Support Package Update Partner Update - PMC-Sierra Seamless Technical Workshops Lunch and Learn Seminars with Tensilica - New Locations Seminar Series - Europe Upcoming Technical Webinars Press Coverage Other Technical Papers - Design For Test _____ Seamless Certified Processor Support Package (PSP) Program ÿ We are pleased to announce that the Seamless Certified PSP Program has officially been delivered to our partners and customers. This program was driven by our key customers to help define what constitutes a PSP and the level of functionality and quality that is critical to your designs. This program provides a standardization which can easily be referenced by our customers, partners, and Mentor Graphics. We believe the program will enhance your co-verification experience leading to successful design verification and reduced support loads. To obtain more details on this program, please visit: http://www.mentor.com/seamless/psp/psp.htm New App Note - C-Bridge ÿ Obtaining, Building, and Using DDD and gdb to Debug C-BridgeTM Models The C-Bridge technology allows you to include design functionality modeled in C/C++/SystemC into your Seamless co-verification session. To debug these C models you can use any host debugger, such as gdb, which is often used with the DDD (Data Display Debugger) graphical front-end. As it is uncommon to have access to DDD, this application note describes the process of obtaining, building and using the DDD debugger in the Seamless/C-Bridge environment. In order for an Automatic Test Pattern Generation (ATPG) tool to produce reliable test patterns, a number of considerations are necessary during the pattern generation process. It is essential to verify the generated test patterns to ensure they can be applied to the real circuit. This paper discusses the issues related to simulation mismatches between the expected results and the results from the full timing simulation.
