Dear ACM Member, Welcome to the September edition of ACM MemberNet. This fall, ACM will launch a new magazine, Computers in Entertainment. Three new Transactions publications (on bioinformatics, language processing, and sensor networks) are also in the works. The new editor of ACM Queue shares his plans for this practitioner-oriented magazine. We look back at this past eventful year for USACM as it continued its mission of educating the public and legislators on key policy issues in the IT world. An ACM Fellow is named a member of the Order of Canada, its highest honor for lifetime achievement. And we remember one of ACM's founding fathers, Robert Campbell. As always, we welcome your comments about the content and format of MemberNet. Please email the editor at mn-editor@acm.org. If you'd like to unsubscribe from this service, please send an email to mn-request@acm.org with the words "Signoff MemberNet" in the body of the message.
